I was on youtube, watching video's of this Quine called Ann Coulter, and it's hillarious.

I'm trying to work out if she's serious or not. She's either f***ing crazy, or a very clever parody.

f***ing great.

Ann Coulter is serious (or seriously demented).

It is not just youtube, she has written a number of books, and has her own website...I think she also has a magazine or writes for one.

She is rather comical though.

She makes Mel Gibson look like a jew loving hippy. Thankfully it appears most people look at her as being a nutter.

I found her because i'm doing an essay on Feminism, I searched for "anti feminist woman" and she came up first, just before Maggie Thatcher.

The impression I get of both Ann Coulter and Rush Limbaugh is that they started off as people with right wing views, which they presented in more and more extreme ways as they realized that's what their audience wanted. They have essentially become caricatures of themselves.

People that like them, like them because they express vocally what deep down inside they truly believe, but are repressed by society into not expressing. People that don't like them, like them because they are a Darth Vader figures - personifications of all that is seen as wrong in the world. It's easier to aim at one big target than at a million small ones.

I find it unfortunate to think more than a handful of people can share her views, even deep down.

I don't know why this came into my head, but I was just thinking about the right wing aspect of American politics, and I remembered the last election. When it was announced that George Bush had won, I clearly remember my English teacher saying "How can so many Americans be that stupid?".

Obviously it's not something that teachers are supposed to say, but it got me to wondering whether someone like George Bush, or anyone that right wing, could ever be a success in the UK.

i love her, but again, its disturbing that her views are taken seriously by some people.

Ah I loved that theory.

I first came across it when reading an Adrian Mole book a couple of years ago, then me and my mates tried to see if we could convince anyone that it was true.

Good times.

Ann Coulter and Rush Limbaugh are both comedians with a twist. It's hard to take either of them seriously.
