Can anyone recomend a good free anti-virus, I've got Trend but I want to have a second one just in case. Plus I'm not sure if Trend got rid of the Trojan Horse virus I had earlier.

Viruses are a type of malware.

You want to use a combination of regular virus scanning and regular Spybot scans.

Malware covers a lot of different things.

Spybot will take care of almost everything that your antivirus doesn't.

Okay good... I think that should clean up the mess then that my brother started... especially since I've got Spybot, Trend Micro, and Windows Defender.

The best virus software is not free. I used to have free stuff, until I found out there were viruses and other threats that weren't being detected. So I went with Norton. $100 for a few years isn't bad.

Norton sucks. Sorry to break it to you.

If you're going to pay, Kaspersky or NOD32 are the way to go.

Friends don't let friends buy Norton.
