Don't do it!! This state is way more f***ed up than you could ever imagine. My job and my wife have me stuck here, I'd leave in a hot New York minute otherwise. But if you do decide to move here, you better learn some spanish. And I don't mean any of that weak a** Spain s*** either, I'm talking about hard core Mexican spanish. English is the 2nd language here. I hate this f***ing state.

Russian would help too if you are moving to Northern Cali, its not a bad place to be, but it is very expensive, and people arn't always that accepting , but if it is what you want just do it.

I personally want to get out of Cali, It's not frickin' cheap here. But I'm not gonna knock it. I love this place! The Bay Area is the place to go, though. SoCal is desert, and NorCal is garbage. (sorry bekka, sac's okay) But I implore you, do not, I repeat DO NOT, go to Fresno. That place is horrible! Auburn too! And I don't agree with "you have to learn spanish" I only know a few swears and I get by just fine.

I tend to stay out of the valley altogether, and I'm ok, lol. The Valley is a steaming nasty smog bowl. Most of southern California is desert, but closer to the coast isn't, so it's nice in some areas, which is why LA and San Diego are so popular. Northern California is too cold for my taste.
