OK.

Right click My Computer, hit Explore.

Browse to C:Program Files.

Look for any of these entries:

Limewire
Bearshare
GrabIt
NewzLeecher
BitComet
Azureus
FrostWire
Anything that includes the word "torrent" or "news"

If you see any of those there, come let us know.

Well, without sounding too snotty, you could do what I suggested that you do. I'm not going to change my suggestion just because you don't want to take direction.

windows xp takes up atleast 8gb so take that away from 34gb that leaves 26gb and thats on a clean install may i suggest a bigger HDD (Hard Disk Drive) you can probably get it fitted at the nearest computer store where you purchased the new hard drive from i would suggest 80gb minimum 2.5" inch HDD for laptops this will give you some space to *say* swing a cat. ive just add a new HDD to my pc 160gb as main HDD and back up HDD as well as the 80gb HDD i had in there previously. select the necessary files such as the language files when setting up windows that should take up 240mb more. then only install the necessary items such as your printer camera updates they will take up at least 2gb. disk defragmenter will not take several hours. before doing yet another format of the HDD make sure you have downloaded the drivers for the sound and other things that you will need.

Yes, sounds like you're fine now.

Do a defrag tonight (it'll take a while) and quit worrying about it.

it should take at least 45-60 mins not what some one has incorrectly stated at several hours. the several hour defrag is for versions of windows before xp
