Continuous Runny nose

My boyfriend has had a runny nose for a long time, and I don't just mean hours but like, days, months. It goes down his throat to his stomach and it makes him REALLY really sick. He doesn't have a cold or anything that I know of, just the nose thing. Does anybody know what could cause this or how to fix it? One site said maybe antihistimines but then that will make another problem he has worse. Any ideas? Thanks.

The only thing i have known to do that is too much charlie, but im sure their is a medical explanation too

sounds like allergies, but he should get it checked.

It supposedly cleans out the yukky stuff in the nasal passages which enables the nose to start healing.

I had the worst runny nose for a week, and in desperation, I squirted salt solution up my nose. It was disconcerting as heck but all the gooey gunk in my nasal passages was flushed out and immediately after, I could breathe better and started to feel better.
