SAD

I can't stand this weather anymore. I feel I need to go somewhere to vacation, but that isn't really an option. I never knew if I had SAD but it is seriously affecting me at this point. What do other people do to bring their mood back up?

This is what you do - turn on every light in your house in the areas where you hang out - buy more lamps if you need to, until it is bright like the sun in there. This is what I do, and it WORKS! The brighter, the better. (you can turn some off when you're feeling better).

Sit near windows that let the light in. If there is a window where the sun streams in, sit right in the sun. You just need some Seratonin (I'm sure that is spelled wrong). We get it from the sun and it helps boost our moods.

Don't sit in a room with the blinds closed, in the day that is, this should help a little.

Maybe listen to some Ocean sounds if you can find a cd like that.

Hmm.. I know a certain kind of light can help with that, but I'm not sure if it's just normal light bulbs or some other kind.

Other than that, you could pick up a copy of "Feeling Good: The New Mood Therapy" by David Burns. It should help some too.

Hmm, I never thought about it...but the sun came out today and I felt good...then my period started and pissed me off, lol. but yeah lots of lamps and any little straggle of sunlight should be sat in.
