Utilitarianism should be thought in schools as it's the only real ethical system you can use on a wide scale.

It is taught in schools, albeit only in advanced level philosophy and ethics, as far as I am aware. I agree that it should be made more popular, since it is a logical form of morality which requires no inherent and unfounded duties, as in religious morality which is deontological ('this is good because God says so/ this is bad because God says so'). People need a logical basis for morality instead of assuming that morality requires faith in established duties. Recognition of other people's suffering is an ability almost unique to humans; it is not an ability we should neglect, or we will be no different from any other beasts.

Exactly. Even if people have vastly differing morals, you can't ignore the common trends and how many of the things that are seen as immoral in backwards cultures are based on illogical beliefs.

It is possible to form objective morals using logic.

No offense, but that belief, despite what that rant may have you think, is a dime a dozen.

It takes real smarts and courage to be the person who points out when opinions ARE wrong, not because they go against that person's moral code, but because they are not logical or fair.

Moral Relativism is a huge problem, as it ends up with people becoming far too tolerate of destructive beliefs. Utilitarianism should be thought in schools as it's the only real ethical system you can use on a wide scale.

Bravo. It may be that opinions can't be right or wrong, but they can be rational or irrational, logical or illogical, consistent or inconsistent.
