Ramones - is anyone here old enough?

old enough, but never saw the ramones live.

I am old enough, and remember them coming through town a long time ago. After the set was done, they did five or six encore songs and the entire encore set took them about ten minutes. Insanity.

In '92 a friend of mine and I went to see Dee Dee Ramone with one of his ill-fated solo projects at some dive and we never found the place. Turns out it was some s***ty little bar with a plywood door that was hanging off the hinges (a fact we discovered later) and somehow I really wished we had found it because it seemed to be just the right setting for a Ramones-related experience.

Sadly, the CBGB doesn't exist anymore.

But they are making a Ramones movie. 'bout time.
