I want to have an image as my signature, but when I click the link to upload the image it takes me back to the main page?

Am I just being stupid or am I doing something wrong?

it may be that the size of your image is too big. the code may be wrong or its too long.

There's upload image link just above the box you write your signature in though? I clicked that thinking I would pick an image to upload from my files, just took me back to the main page

hmmm I see what you're saying. Dunno why it's doing that.

For now you can just go to Picoodle or any other image hosting site and upload it there rather than through TFS. Then put the code in between the image tags. As long as the total area is less than 30,000 pixels it should work.
