Ah, stress causes a lot of problems, try taking out some time for yourself and get some relaxation.

People rarely get the help they need when they need it. Sadly most people have to help themselves. Have a browse online to see what kind of support groups are near you. Get some books out of the library about other peoples PTSD experiences. Dont sit around waiting for help to come because in my experience it doesnt. Take some action, it will make you feel better about yourself and what has happened. Good luck

P.T.S.D is a complex thing. Are you aware of your triggers? Have you been in contact with a health care professional? There are counsellors and theripists that specialise in this area. but every person is different, you have to find what works for you.

I know the feeling I had a gun pointed at my head when I was about ten and had three "episodes" in the past year that has really messed me up. its hard to concentrate at work I always wonder who is driving by, I remember that day like it was yesterday. the help is so far and few between.

For years I delt with terrible anxieties thanks to having Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. For several years, I found psychotherapy for anxieties to be almost useless. When I was super-nervous about something, I could try to reason with myself. And therapists would try to reason with me. But it made no difference. When I was nervous, that was it. I could not calm myself down with rational thinking.

However, when I got on meds that actually helped, my anxiety level dropped. I found that reasoning with myself and therapists reasoning me worked. Now when I'm nervous about something, I can calm myself down via rational thinking.

i can get some very strong 'flashbacks' from military service. just recently, i had one so bad that the T.R.G. had to attend. they handles the situation really well, didnt come in with 'all-guns-blazing', just stood back and recommend i go to hospital.

of course, thats when things start to go bad... some young female 'know-it-all' psychiatrist put me on a detention order for two days, even after i had told her of the concern for my dog being at home alone, that i didnt need to be in the emergency ward with lights on and people shouting/walking around preventing me from sleeping.

so, strapped to the bed with me coming off a 'flash' only made things worse. then i get another young 'know-it-all', giving me the generic "are you getting messages/people following you garbage".

thats the last time anyone is going to get me near a psych facility. they call me "non-compliant" just cos i refuse to get on the med wagon, but hey, at least i dont drink gallons of soft drink/eat junk food and hit the PS3, after almost 18 years out of the military im still 'battle ready'. im about to re-join because thats the only thing i want to do. i may not be able to go out to the local shops without wanting to punch somebody in the eye, but i can go and do the most complicated/dangerous mission like im brushing my teeth.

head out to afghanistan in march... i just want everyone to know you have to find your way yourself. meds, 'puppy walking/bottom wiping aint gonna help anyone.
