Final

With Roger Clemens making his 2007 debut for the Yankees on Monday against the White Sox; the Yankees are looking to sweep this three-game series against the hated Red Sox.

The Yankees got off to a fast start by roughing up Tim Wakefield and Chien-Ming Wang was dominant in Friday night's 9-5 victory over the despised Red Sox.

The Yankees put the controversy surronding A-Rod behind them by pounding Wakefeld and Snyder. They combined to give up 9 runs, 8 hits, 8 walks and 1 long homer.

Not even the ejection of Joe Torre in the fifth by an umpire that wll go nameless could rattle the Bronx Bombers. Wang (4-4) allowed 3 runs on 10 hits in 5 innings of work.

Robinson Cano, who homered off Wakefield for the Yankees, continued his hot streak by going 2-for-4 with 2 runs and 2 RBIs.

A slumping Bobby Abreu and Melky Cabrera torched the Red Sox by dishing out a combined 4 hits, 3 runs and 3 RBIs.

Jorge Posada, who had 2 doubles in the game, went 2-for-5 with 3 RBIs.

The Yankees are 12 1/2 games out of first place.
