Clarkson to quit Top Gear?

Well is he or is he not?

Clarkson has said in his column in the Sun newspaper that Top Gear will not be appearing this Summer as announced by the BBC at the end of this season's last show.

The BBC have countered that by saying today that they intend to put out a Top Gear special in the summer and the new series is scheduled for the Autumn.

That sounds to me like the BBC showing the best of Top Gear in the Summer as they frantically struggle to pull together a team to host Top Gear.

Now I know Clarkson is a childish, load mouthed, sexist, capitalist, conservative, racist sort of guy. But he is funny and 7 million people don't watch Top Gear each week to agree with his extreme views. Its entertainment.

I wonder what happened for him to walk away? Greed?

Is he actualy going or is this a rough guess?

The balance in that team is just perfect. And bugger the Sun their web page is s***e. I can't find Clarkson's column.

I wonder what's behind his idea of not doing the show?

I shall take his place but then again I'd most likley ruin top gear and the bbc
