Not really, no.

The entire kernel structure is totally different. Many of the changes aren't obvious to the end user, but virtually everything from the TCP/IP stack to the kernel security model to the driver model in the base operating system has changed dramatically

well considering i work for apple in australia i think it would be pretty obvios that i would go for a mac...

i would even sell my own liver for a new mac pro...

My ex just bought a new PC with Vista Ultimate on it...


he just started it last night, and crashed it a couple of times already.

And Vista asked every...single...time...if he was sure that he wanted to do something.

I'd personally go for a PC but i haven't really had that much working knowledge of MACS, the biggest off point would be the price, why the hell are they so expensive really has Steve Jobs not got enough of the stuff I suppose its really what you wanna do with it that counts.

As for the drivers in vista if you have an XP disk handy then load the drivers from thatand things should work just fine

go for any OS.
code in java and design web apps in any language and use apache or tomcat.
