Putting very long hair into a French twist/ hairstyles for very long hair

I've been recently trying to put my very long hair into a French twist but I find that I am having trouble doing so. I find that I have to fold the first twist at least three times to be able to make a nicely sized twist, not too long. A lot of times I have to redo the twist because something goes wrong the first time.Are there any tips or tricks that you all might have to make it easier?

Secondly, do any of you know any very good hairstyles for girls with long hair?

Claire's Accessories do a few helpful things to put long hair into different styles like french twists. They are about ?7/8 but worth the money so I have been told.

Freanch plaits are the best thing do do with long hair. If you find those too difficult you can do a fish plait which looks really pretty.

Buns are always good for long hair also.

My fave are french pleats though. Very classy and so easy to do
