My science teacher went to see Happy Feet with his nephew and said it sucked. Has anyone seen it? I haven't.
It looks like a good time, but I'm not so sure now.

My daughter's 19 and she took her young cousinto see it his afternoon and said it was really great. It's full of singing and dancing and was just what she expected from Walt Disney.

By the way today is Walt Disney's 77th anniversary today.

visually, it is probably the most beautiful disney movie I've ever seen...it's a work of art. Story-wise...it's good, but nothing that really gets very deep. The singing is realy nice in the beginning, beautiful voices, but yeah, the story line is a little lacking in some depth or something. And then the ending just kind of wraps up a little too neatly, so you're left thinkikng..."is that it?". But I'd say it's worth seeing just for the visual effects.

Visually as lili said it's incredible.I mean they went to great lengths to get the penguins looking just right. If for nothing else if you have kids take them to see it since they'll enjoy it immensely because of the comedy that is there for the kids, and parents will enjoy the comedy that kids wont get. It's one of those things you expect from Walt Disney.Story line is lacking somewhat, but it's a disney movie after all. They're trying to make money off a new concept for them.

I was reading stuff in the newspaper about the movie having "disturbing leftist influences in relation to the impact of gobal warming on the environment"

FFS it's great piece of cinema magic for kids from the most conservative of organisations. Don't over analyse what is just pure kids entertainment. I'm sure somebody will do a Phd on it. SAD.

Nope. But I saw 'March Of The Penguins' a couple of nights ago and it was fantastic. You don't need CG to make a film with real heart.

I loved their scenery shots. The way they created the panoramic arctic shots...absolutely amazing. There was one where the penguines are fighting the wind, and the show the fog blowing off the glaciers and over the plains, the way the light from the sunset it caught in the fog and bounced off the ice, and the colors in the sky altogether..it's just art, truly....just beautiful. Even a still shot would have been amazing, but the movement is beautiful too, so graceful and dramatic. They really captured it.

Oh really? We were going to take the kids to see that tonight. I have heard it is good but then again it have heard it sucked. I guess I will have to see what the kids say since they are dying to go see it.

Sucks? I went to see it a couple weeks ago. It was fantastic. The setting, plot
and graphics were all just amazing. I think Disney did a great job w/ Happy
Feet. The angles and rotations of the camera were amazing too. The people in
the movie looked very real. Were they real people acting in the movie, or was it
just extremely great animation?
