Queen Elizabeth II and her husband Prince Philip stunned commuters - by joining them on their packed rush-hour train.
The royals showed the common touch as they caught the train from London's Liverpool Street to Ipswich for a weekend in the countryside.
The Queen's staff reserved 12 first-class seats for her party but some were kept empty for security reasons.

The train firm waived the ?46 fare, gave them biscuits and tea in china cups and the service arrived three minutes early. The Royal party were going to Helmingham Hall, home of their friendss Lord and Lady Tollemache. Yesterday the Queen watched Philip shoot pheasants, or was that peasants, knowing Phillips ability for social faux pas.

The Queen is well known for being very consious of budgetary controls for her household and maybe this this is a sign of a change from the old days when she had a Royal Train that cost millions every year to maintain.

Why waive the fee, it's not like she can't afford it!!!!!! And a train arriving early... a miracle.... the Queen must have mystical powers or something.

our primer went into a homeless shelter when he was drunk and threw money at them and told them to get off thier asses and get a job!

Ralph Klein after an infamous December 2001 incident in which he showed up inebriated at a homeless shelter in Edmonton, berated some of the residents for not having jobs, then throwing money on the floor and leaving.

At the same newser, he said, "I'm telling you, it feels good to get up without a hangover."

I think the royal family has had its day...its time for some other person to be in charge, i mean the queen doesnt even do that much for the country anymore. they have lost all value.
