is very important. lets say you have a great credit history and you decide to marry someone with very poor creit history. once you marry your score will drop and you might not even be able to get a apartment. remember in the us their bills become your bills to once you are married. my thought on this is before you marry someone make sure they have good credit and no outstanding bills.
dont use or obtain credit cards the first year of marriage. more people go out max their cards out on new furniture, new car etc. if that marrige goes down the toilet and the other person decides not to help pay them your are liable like him and unless you want poor credit youll get stuck with all the card charges
