spy ware

i have spybot search and destroy and it works fast and affectively. it works sorta to fast and i offten check it twice or more...
whats you opinion on anti-spyware programs what do you use and is it affective...

I use Spybot and AdAware. Xcleaner also finds stuff sometimes.

half these security programs rate each other as a threat, its a farce!

The ads are. I can't say about the sites they link to.

what about macintosh's claims in this area

i use spyware blaster
zone labs firewall
antivir classic
and some ad blocker in firefox

and i havnt got spyware or a virus since using them,
and there free to download

oh tips for those who don't have anti spyware:
1: do not download the free spy doctor(it removes half until you buy the whole product) plus very pricey
2: get one as soon as possible

Lavasoft and Spybot are about the best freebies you can get - make sure you update both regularly though.
