Also be careful about how you yell "hello" to your friend Jack.
How strange after a hi-jacking joke that it actually happens. Irony? I just don't know anymore....

a threat or harassment (anything like this) .. is based on the
perception of the recipient. It's not what the intent was, at least not words only. I can't let this go - there is no 'intent' of racism with the NFL team name of Redskins. It's been around for decades. Yet, and still, it is considered by some in bad form, prerogative in nature towards a certain race/nation - based on their perception.
Different opinions out there about this, and a few threads as well --but something said or done 'simply', without consideration of how it is received or impacts on others/to others --- is not just a matter of idiocy or stupidity. These types of things need to 'nipped in the bud' sooner, rather than later ---- and it ain't over until the 'healthy' lady sings!

What boggles me...If the "intent" was racist...Why would they name their team after something which they view in a negative light? ( if that is what you are suggesting here? When I hear the term "racist" I automatically think 'negative'...)
It seems to me a sports team would choose a name they liked, which helped reflect somehow, positively on the team; and perhaps even giving them incentive to play better.
It just doesn't make sense to name a team after something they dislike.

Actually that was found to be in error. The coach even said so. Just did not the original racial mascot "braves" to be confused with other teams so he changed it to red$kins".
I can find that link if you want.
