?13,400 a year before tax to afford an acceptable standard of living.

Yep thats how much it costs to live in the UK comfortably all bill paid and some food in your belly..

Its funny, me and the misses together earn about 3-4 times more than that, and I am finding life a struggle..

for the US people thats about $26,000 a year.. is that alot to live on in the US?

Everyone else.. is 13,400 enough? bare in mind min. wage is ?10,700 a year based on a 37 hour week... it looks like Min wage isnt enough to live...

I'd have to do some research on it to know what the average cost of living is. Also, it depends on where you live. Cost of living is a lot higher in Washington, DC (where I work) than Clear Spring (where I live). I make more than that and still struggle sometimes

Right like where I live is high cost of living, but some of the southern states it's alot cheaper.

I earn alot more than that and life is far from easy on what i have!!!
However it has to be said, you could earn 500,000 and still be broke, we all tend to live to our means no??
