No, I can't imagine it, because the US would absolutely not allow it. And the US, you know, doesn't take over foreign lands and simply add them to the "Empire."

People hear what he says.. I've heard him make the statement several times.. "Words are important, how you use them, what you say shows the kind of person you are or represent".. true or not?? Take TOTUS away and you see what is left.. Pun intended..

Man, read some history. They may not create an empire in the old imperialist sense, but they certainly created a fair old empire of proxy tyrants over the last hundred years.

The sole reason for the USA attacking and hating Fidel/Cuba was that the US lost one of its imperialist slave states. US involvement in Vietnam was to maintain a western slave state, as was intervention in Chile, Nicaragua, Angola, Indonesia, the Phillipines, Malaysia, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, (the Middle East in general really), Gautemala etc etc etc.

Poor ol' George must have been weeping for a long time now...

No, the US doesn't have an "empire" in the classical sense. What the US does instead, is invade foreign countries, install puppet regimes that have their strings pulled from Washington while the US Army bombs that country to dust, butchers vast swathes of the civilian population and then steals whatever resources it can lay its hands on.

I'm surprised you hadn't noticed..... because the rest of the world has.
