There's a larger ego fueling the Conservatives, more so than the ego fueling the philanthropist's; the Conservs only want to see success for those who vote for the same sports teams and uphold the same religion.
Tax-funded Social Assistance was designed to counter the ostracization that would otherwise be gratuitously exercised by the Conservatives.

Illegalizing marijuana to make it easier to imprison Mexicans and get them out of society is one a prime example of a Conservative tactic.

In the end, no matter how you try and sell it, political moralism is a very simple matter of Common Sense:





You make a great point here and it's simply incontrovertible that we modern societyists are in a pickle for sure for sure. On the one hand, it's too easy for everyone to see the health benefit of CBD oils and other practical uses for hemp even for those who wouldn't trade getting skunk drunk for getting stoned (you know that DoD requirements won't allow the worst Navy alcoholic to pull one smelly puff).

And on the other hand, we still have those Mexicans. So, yeah.
