The internet Does Not have EVERYTHING

While looking around for an owners manual for my old snow-blower that broke half-way through the the job other night, I tripped across some site that enabled (or whatever you want to call it) "localindexcaptcha" - some kind of ad-push thing that tries to lure you into bad s***.

It's not malware in itself, but if you click on it's notifications it could lead you to getting infected.

I was almost ready to Factory Reset my machine after my regular AV software didn't find anything.
Then I searched on Localindexcaptcha and got the scoop.

I never did find the manual, and decided to just buy a new snow-blower... on the internet haha!

When asking a question of a speaker or presenter, they always reply with "That's a GREAT Question!"

One of these days I'm going to ask something like "Why do guinea pigs have 14 toes?" at a tech conference.

Youtubes for songs and the balance is off! It may not be noticeable over speakers, but with buds in, it is very annoying.

Especially when it is a classic prog piece

F@$%&rs should be shot!

Little things........

In one of the few shops still open, needing a stubby screwdriver and screws to match, I dropped my mask beneath my nose. Well, my glasses were steaming up, I'd wiped them twice yet they steamed up again as soon as I put them back on. My bletharospasm does not help, needing botox injections every few months (difficult to come by at the moment) to stop my eyeslids from flickering, even to keep them open at times.

I just could not see to check what I was buying. Along comes the local vigilante, demanding I raise my mask to the appropriate level. "Yes, ok, I'm ok with that" I said.

Well, it is only a little thing. But really, I'm NOT ok with that. The man was a prat. I said it here first!

Damn it ...
You settle into somewhat of a comfortable routine that includes a short break to sit down and catch some tv after some chores. And it is partly because of a particular show worth catching. It's not a high drama show, or some episodic series where you have to catch every one. It's just a daily, casual, sit down and relax, and if you miss one - no big deal kind of show.

Then the network has to go and f*** it all up by changing their schedule!!

AXS TV used to show 2 episodes of Rock Legends daily between 7pm and 8pm. So even if I wasn't ready by 7 on the dot (often the case) I knew I could catch a new show at 730.

Well, lately it's been something else. Sometimes some stupid wrestling s***, tonight is Ozzy and Jack's World Detour ... it's not bad, but not what I'm looking for.

So now I'm stuck trying to entertain myself on some crappy website forum ....

farting " dixie " in a crowd will help social distancing.

Mmmmmm..... sauerkraut!

Lately, what annoys me most is people who constantly complain about something that is within their control, yet won't do anything to change their situation. OK... go ahead and wallow in your self-pity!

When the riff-raff around me is so noisy I can't hear the pop of my ketchup bottle.

You get what you pay for

So awhile back I bought a twin-pack of light bulbs ... You just find the wattage you need, glance at the prices and grab a pack. Lightbulbs are lightbulbs ..right?

Well - these were for an "always on" light over the sink - The first one burnt out after what I thought was unusually short amount of time.. ok fluke?. And now the second one popped already ... WTF.
Looking closer at the package, it is a "0.9 year life **"
With "** Based on 3 hours a day"

.. which calculates to about 41 days for "always on"

Looking closer at next purchase
