Rugby Australia preaches “diversity” and “inclusiveness” when what they really mean is uniformity or exclusion.

Inclusivity means including all, it means including people whom you may not agree with, it means including Israel Folau

Well done to the Boks. They join NZ with three world cups. Incredibly the boks have not conceded a single try in three world cup finals.

England played really well against the AB's who put in the worst performance by them for many a year. In the final however the forward pack of the Boks monstered their English rivals. This was especially true in the scrum where it was like watching a top tier one nation taking on a second tier team.

What a remarkable turnaround Rassie Erasmus has engineered with the boks.

Well the only thing I can say is "Well played South Africa".

They had a plan and they executed it perfectly. The murdered England in the scrum which is unusual for an England team. We were 2.5 kilos a man heavier in the pack and are a pretty well drilled outfit usually, but the South Africans killed us from the first.

The loss of Kyle Sinckler early on was a blow but that doesn't excuse anything. They got the penalties, kicked them and again.... that's another tactic England have used to great effect in the past.

You could say they beat us at our own game. Hoist with our own petard.

I was very pleased for Solisi. It was wonderful to see him take the trophy. He conducted himself with a mixture of joy, pride and humility. Fitting behaviour for a fine captain and a gentleman.

Naturally I'm disappointed England didn't win, but it seems we played our final last week. we couldn't reach those heights again.

So...... Well played South Africa. Worthy winners and fine champions.

2023 in France. We'll see you in Paris.

So glad the virtue signalling, ultra woke, hypocritical Raelene Castle has finally left the ARU. The damage she did in her short two and a half year reign will take a LONG time to undo...and that's if they can get in a decent CEO who understands the game, and doesn't engage in divisive, PC driven, left wing identity politics etc.

Under Castle crowds and tv ratings plummeted to record lows. The national team had their worst performances since the 1970's whilst the Blues and Reds had their worst seasons ever. Meanwhile record numbers of teenage islanders defected to league. A particularly big problem as kids of island decent have become the life blood of RU in Australia with nearly half of our junior representative sides being made up of said islanders.

Driving out the games biggest draw-card, best player and a bloke who is a sporting hero for many, it was no wonder that crowds and TV ratings fell dramatically. It was no wonder so many young island boys switched to League, went to other unrelated sports or dropped out of organsised sport altogether. It was no wonder that in her short reign revenue dropped significantly and debt rose four times more in her short tenure than it had in the previous 8 years.

So to RC...thanks for nothing. Goodbye and good riddance.

England 6 Scotland 11

It's Six Nations time again and a fixture England have taken for granted for a long time has been won by a magnificent Scottish effort in the rain at Twickenham.

Scotland haven't beaten the "Auld Enemy" at HQ for 38 years. They did it by taking England on in every area of the game. They got possession and kept it. They ran at the England line. They tackled their hearts out and forced 25 penalties from an England team that didn't have an answer to the Scots relentless heart and desire.

There was no aspect of the game that England were equal to the Scots in. It was a low scoring match but that doesn't mean the game degenerated into an arm wrestle. Both teams attempted to run at the opposition defence but the tackling from both teams was fierce and determined. Make no mistake, England wanted to win this game. Their problem was that Scotland wanted to win it more.

Many congratulations to Scotland on a great Calcutta Cup win. They have lowered England's colours at Twickenham for the first time since 1983, and for only the fifth time in the 150 years this fixture has been played. They carry a lot of bruises home with them. But they also take the Calcutta Cup. They won't feel an ounce of pain.

Congrats to Éire. Beating the poms in Dublin to secure the triple crown, grand slam and six nations championship is about as good as it gets!
