It's hard to see Richmond finishing top 4 now.

That was a reasonable assumption to make. Rance is probably the best defender in the comp. Few people however predicted just how good Grimes would be. In the end it was (unfortunately) as case of "No Rance, No Worries".

I'm glad to be proven wrong this time
And I'm certainly one of those who didn't expect Grimes to do so well. But it wasn't just Rance that the Tigers lost throughout the year. Almost all their first tier players had a major injury at some point.

Really enjoyed the State of Origin match. The skill level was, as you would expect, very high, and the footy played was very quick, open and attacking.

Would love to see State of Origin return for real. At the moment clubs are playing 2 practice matches so why not give the elite players the opportunity to play 2 matches at a higher level during this time. I would have a round robin over 3 weeks with 2 groups of 3 teams. Each team would play each other once. The Premier Division would consist of WA, SA and Vic. The other division would be Tassie, NSW and QLD/NT.

Thank goodness the AFL season is going to kick off tomorrow. I did have tickets to go to the opening game of the season but along with 90,000 or so others I shan't get to watch the game live. Understandable of course but disappointing.

Not a big fan of shorter quarters. I know the AFL and AFLPA have been pushing for this for a few years. Just hope next season returns to normal. Also hope they stick to 8 teams for the finals. There has been talk of 10 or even 12 teams playing off. To me you make a mockery of the competition when it's harder to miss the finals than make them.

Obviously i can understand why the AFL have put the season on hold but it's a bastard nonetheless.

Around here some distilleries are switching production from booze to hand sanitizer.

Mostly from vodka production lines. ... whew!

They interviewed someone from a local small distillery. They said they whipped up a batch based on CDC guidelines, but it won't be ready for about a month.

Yeah, we have had some distilleries and breweries doing the same thing. In Europe you even have perfume manufactures making hand sanitisers whilst i believe some car companies are now turning to making things like respirators and ventilators.
