What should Bernie do?
He's responsible for what his follwers do
He isn't responsible for his followers actions but should ask them to desist
He isn't responsible for what his supporters do and should take advantage of the situation
This is a right wing conspiracy of paid jerks trying to sabotage his campaign

Issue is being taken with Bernie Sanders supporters attacks on Elizabeth Warren. Warren admonishes Sanders declaring he has the responsibility to rein in his followers.
These strategies are reminiscent of some Trump supporters and indeed the Rise of the Third Reich. So is Sanders responsible for the atrocious online behavior of his supporters? Should he try to get his followers to stop? Is this the new norm or has it always been the norm?
As you know I'm not a supporter of socialism but I am a supporter of fair, free and mature exchange of ideas in open format.

As it is presented above this comment of yours looks like a load of horse s***.

Feel fee to make a more specific and detailed comparison.

Note #1: I am here quoting you word for word and NOT putting words into your mouth.

Note #2: To Clarify... I am not a fan of Sanders. I think he is a self serving fraud and a pathetic angry old man. And he is not a Democrat.

Here's an fairly comprehensive article entitled Violence in the Name of Trump from The Guardian US.

If one is interested in fascism and the Rise of the Nazis to power I recommend The Mass Psychology of Fascism by Wilhelm Reich . It is by far the best account of the Nazi rise to power ever written by a man who witnessed it first hand. It is not a bad idea to read his book Character Analysis beforehand, but that's a tough read.

My purpose in this thread isn't to criticize or promote any candidate over the other, it's simply to start a conversation on the contemporary behavior of those involved. I think there are things going on under the radar that most people don't understand. So the question about Sander's supporters behavior doesn't only apply to him. It applies to our citizenry in general. In the poll I asked a few questions about what could be the answer to stimulate some thought.

Yes. I've read about the rise of Nazi Germany.

I will just leave it with this comment:

>>> People (not necessarily you) like to compare leaders to Hitler and/or Stalin, and like to compare governments and/or organizations to Nazis and/or Communists... and make sweeping but inaccurate statements about things like "fascism", "socialism", "communism", etc... However, more often than not the "comparison" is limited at best, and many times the word "contrast" would be a more accurate descriptor than "comparison". <<<

But, don't mind me... as long as you don't step on my gown, all is good.

Bernie, and really all presidential candidates (if not all politicians) are..

1. Partially responsible for what their followers do...

2. When their followers actions are "wrong" the politician should ask them to desist and/or make it clear that they do not support the "wrong" behavior.

3. "This" could be a right wing conspiracy of paid jerks trying to sabotage his campaign, or "wrong" behavior perpetrated by some fringe zealots.

This is pretty indicative of Trump's behavior. While he sometimes seems to incite nut bags, often the nut bags just do stupid s*** on their own. Trump has not been very good at distancing himself from nut bags.

However, to give Trump credit (which he may or may not be due) there is no doubt that there are groups out there that try to make him look worse than he is. With Trump it is pretty easy.

As to Bernie: I view him as a fake, an angry old man, and basically a self centered jackass.

I believe that Bernie Sanders is the future of the United States of America. I can imagine everything will be perfect. All the rich people will pay for all the rest and everything will be free. We'll have free food, free education, free toilet paper, and free sex. All of it will be fantastic.
