I used to go to a Baptist church. Not because I believed what they were teaching, but because I actually like some of the people a lot. Anyway, essentially everyone that was a member of that church espoused the belief that the earth was only 6000 years old... some went with 10,000 years.

Yes, I know that they exit. When my mother was searching for what kind of a Christian, which she wanted us to be, I sat in Sunday schools that teach that sort of thing. Some are involved in our Charity work, so I suppose I do "know" of them.

Question: (yes, you might say it's a double post, as I boiled down another post to the following question

Is ignorance a sin?

Hi Gakingkong

Perhaps you are quite familiar with John 3:16. It shows the extent of His love for us. He offered up His son so that we might have everlasting life. That is an act of love that is offered for the entire human race, however, the Bible indicates that few will take advantage of it Mat 7:13,14.

The Bible indicates at Pro 21:2 that everyone is righteous in their own eyes. Therefore most of us believe that we are the ones on that narrow road to life. Jesus stated that those who do the will of God, his Father, would be saved Mat 7:21-23. That is a guarantee offered by God's son. At Matthew 24:13 we are told that we must endure to the end to be saved. Therefore those who might be saved if the world ended now, may not be if it ends 10 yrs from now.

I truly appreciate your question and hope that I have been able to help you in answering it. Point blank, yes God loves everyone, but some become His friends James 2:23

A condition of Salvation is found at Romans 10:13. You have to call on God's name. Do you know God's name?

Good morning. I just keep thinking that there must have been a list put together before creation which has the names of all of the people who will be rescued from the wrath of God.

I felt as though the question I asked wasn't answered satisfactorily.

It is my contention that God has a list (if he needs lists) of people who will be in felicity with him in paradise (eternal life). The person who makes the cut is not surprised. This is what the bible teaches.

So it doesn't matter what we do here on Earth.

I'm predestined for either heaven or hell.

So what's the point of church and religion?
Just a construct of man to control others with fear.

Glad I got out of that racket early.

So, what you’re saying is: God has made a bunch of people, maybe millions or billions of people, to go to hell.

So “he” actually is just making a bunch of sinful people that he is going to punish.

Hey John Doe... Sorry you never had a chance. I made you to fill one of the slots of people going to hell... Sorry, but I have to meet my quotas ...

Wow there’s a loving creator for you;

Would love not look like true love if Yahweh, instead of using infanticide, would have just forgiven us without bloodshed?

Scriptures are clear that blood is not required for salvation and you want Jesus to break so many of his teachings that you should be ashamed of being a scapegoat rider.

It takes quite an inflated ego to think a god would actually die for you, after condemning you unjustly in the first place.

You have swallowed a lie and don’t care how evil you make Jesus to keep your feel good get out of hell free card.

It is a lie, first and foremost because, like it or not, having another innocent person suffer or die for the wrongs you have done, --- so that you might escape responsibility for having done them, --- is immoral. To abdicate your personal responsibility for your actions or use a scapegoat is immoral.

You also have to ignore what Jesus, as a Jewish Rabbi, would have taught his people.

Ezekiel 18:20 The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.

Deuteronomy 24:16 (ESV) "Fathers shall not be put to death because of their children, nor shall children be put to death because of their fathers. Each one shall be put to death for his own sin.

Psa 49;7 None of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him:

There is no way that you would teach your children to use a scapegoat to escape their just punishments and here you are doing just that.

Jesus is just a smidge less immoral than his demiurge genocidal father, and here you are trying to put him as low in moral fibre as Yahweh.

This is not true as other scriptures in the link below contradict yours and show that Yahweh does not allow any of us the free willed choice that you are talking about.

Please see an old O.P of mine.

-------

Are non-believers doomed by Divine Design?

Scriptures say that God decides if a person will be a believer or non-believer. Those scriptures are shown in this link.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=byHYeHN4ZUQ

Those quotes seems to really screw up the free will notion that Christians say God gives us.

The free will that God offers is kind of a joke anyway given the number of people whose free will to live is ignored in the billions of adults, children and babies that God is shown to torture and murder in scriptures.

If the bible and Yahweh are to be believed, and as a non-believer, I, of course, cannot believe it, thanks to God, by God’s design and will against me, then why did God deny me belief or faith?

Even more important to believers, might be to answer the question of; did God make you a believer in things that you can only hope exists and can never confirm?

Are you happy with God ignoring or negating your free will to think as you please?

I have assumed that God’s work of creating both believers and non-believers is working. If that is so, and you believers must think it so, just as I as a non-believer cannot think it is working, --- and Jesus said that those with faith could do all he did and more, --- then the is is not even one believer or person of faith that has ever existed.

Either the bible and Christianity is all a lie, or there must be some who can do what Jesus did.

What is your choice of those two options?

Is the bible and Christianity a lie, or is God just not creating any people with faith, --- which would make all Christians who say they have faith, --- liars.

I mean no insult here but someone is definitely lying, if we read what is written and look at reality and listen to Christians.

What do you think is the truth?

Is it just for God to create people doomed to hell even if they wanted to believe?

Do you have Bible questions, I will be glad to assist if I can

Yes please, if you can, as all Christians keep running away from an answer, ---

Why do Christians sing of Adam's sin being a happy fault and necessary to god's plan, yet call what Adam did in Eden Original Sin and an evil act.

If Adam would not have sinned, god's plan would have been derailed.

That catch 22 is likely why Christians cannot answer my simple question.

Would you do as Adam did in Eden or would you derail god's plan by not having the happy fault of sinning?

I'd rather laugh with the sinners than die with the saints.

Although it's good to be good, it's fun to be bad.

I can justify my "sins" (and be happy with them) because I can proclaim on Sundays that I am sorry, pay my due$, and be told that I will go to heaven because of it.

.. but I like the predestination story better, then it doesn't matter what I do on Sunday mornings

It would fit the Christian misogynous ways.
