While many will make God seem to be the true evil based on sacrificing his only child for the sake of Humanity, There is the possibility of the Holy Trinity and those Three being one. He could have done other things, but it wouldn't have made such an impact as Jesus' death and resurrection did.

It's also possible two Sorcerers were trying to possess and control one guy and that trinity thing is just an excuse.

interesting if Christianity was back then like black magic that more like black plague that took over the countryside to people like the old ways or except or not: god. that might why some Christians and muslims try rid of the jews. because Christianity was black magic instead the way of god to some people back then. these so-called people, who never only one god, only believed in idols and false gods. they would never except jews and their belief in the way of judism. to rid of jews , is the best way of getting rid of the beginning of Christianity.

Yes, and it is also possible that the Flying Spaghetti Monster is running the whole show.

The idea would be that similar to the Pharoah's magicians having a "change staffs to snakes" competition with Moses, or bringing a plague of frogs, or murdering firstborn children in their sleep etc. The stories would read more like a bunch of sorcerers having a fight. Their history chronicled by prophets who lived in a society ruled by one sorcerer. At least according to that society's official story line. There might very well be more than one sorcerer taking turns as it would be necessary to train a replacement. Of course the prophets wouldn't be able to reveal that, unless indirectly, for fear of certain death at having given away the existence of a secret society actually in charge.

Later in history if these same sorcerers figure out the prophets did exactly that, they might decide to destroy the Jews and the writings. They might create the Roman takeover and later destruction of Israel and Judea. The next 300 years or so would be about persecuting Jews and Christians and playing them against each other. Christianity's rise in popularity would have necessitated them taking over and redefining that religion so they could still murder people at will. Jesus wasn't into killing women for adultery and all that jazz, so wouldn't have gone for burning them at the stake either.

The success of this plot to keep their existence and practices secret would mean re writing the books of the Jews ( Old Testament ) and destroying the originals. So the christian church would have to persecute the Jews and marginalize them to keep any adherents of their faith from comparing notes.
If that didn't work, they could always form a new improved religion that hates both Christianity and Judaism and use it to destroy them and the evidence of their meddling contained within Judeo-Christian writings.

Then again maybe it is really just a big spaghetti monster

If that didn't work and Judaism and Christianity survived it would get more complicated. Heaven forbid archeological findings in Jerusalem turning up. The peaceful teachings of Jesus would have to be altered so the church could have an army or two to prevent this. Forays into the Holy Lands would also serve to keep the three religions at odds.

It would become a real problem if scholars from the three religions started to compare notes. That would necessitate a full on inquisition!

Throughout history a very small percentage of people could read. That is until the Guttenberg Bible and later the enlightenment. Remember this balancing act would become more difficult and require more sorcerers. After a while it would get to be so difficult they might consider inventing a new form of society to simply get rid of all religious beliefs. They could also use it to centralize control of all means of production so there would be no more educated wealthy people they would have to influence. Dispelling with ideas like democracy with it's large numbers of politicians would help ease the load on the number of them to maintain control. And, of course, there's always those troublesome Jews.....

You need to write a fantasy sci-fi novel... maybe a trilogy.

The Gutenberg Bible was in Latin, which the vast majority of people did not speak let alone read.

During the Enlightenment reading was pretty much done only by the elite.

The growth of reading had more to do with the development of the printing press, the printing of a variety of books, and the availability of printed books. The Gutenberg Bible was a pet project of Gutenberg's and little more than a milestone in the history of the bible. Printing and the printing press were the factors that lead to more reading.

Side note: It is likely that more people read the bible in the years following the printing of the Gutenberg Bible then read it today.... as odd as that might seem.

Yahweh hated Esau even in the womb and also planned to have most of us end in hell and death. That is hardly what I would call love for all.

As to Jesus.

It takes quite an ego to think a god would actually die for you, after condemning you unjustly in the first place.

You have swallowed a lie and don’t care how evil you make Jesus to keep your feel good get out of hell free card.

It is a lie, first and foremost because, like it or not, having another innocent person suffer or die for the wrongs you have done, --- so that you might escape responsibility for having done them, --- is immoral. To abdicate your personal responsibility for your actions or use a scapegoat is immoral.

You also have to ignore what Jesus, as a Jewish Rabbi, would have taught his people.

Ezekiel 18:20 The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.

Deuteronomy 24:16 (ESV) "Fathers shall not be put to death because of their children, nor shall children be put to death because of their fathers. Each one shall be put to death for his own sin.

Psa 49;7 None of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him:

There is no way that you would teach your children to use a scapegoat to escape their just punishments and here you are doing just that.

Jesus is just a smidge less immoral than his demiurge genocidal father, and here you are trying to put him as low in moral fibre as Yahweh.

Let's talk of the morals of using a scapegoat.

Regards
DL
