1st and foremost
2nd... I find it oddly comforting that you cling to presenting that which appears to be unadulterated insanity.
A person has to do something in life, even if it is nuts.
Jeez look around at what passes for normal life; how many of the sane do you see, vs. the insane?

Lol. Why the obsession with Hillary.
As a hashtag #presidentpelosi is funny because trumps willingness to throw Pence under the bus, not because people actually think or want Pelosi in office.
We don’t have a king in the US. You’d think people would understand that, but apparently not.
Go to a college campus, and hold up a sign, stating what you just wrote, and how many would even comprehend it? The average American has been taught to be an imbecile, and to do as they are told.
On a college campus, they are taught to be good Communists. So, that is what they do.

While technically the Senate does not have to conduct an impeachment trial, that is the one thing that would likely turn many Americans against both Trump & the Republican Senate.
In addition, the Senate and the White House have already started discussing the trial procedures.
So...
1. The H.R. most likely will impeach Trump.
2. The Senate will hold an impeachment trial.
3. The Senate will not remove Trump.
4. The Senate will take the opportunity of a Senate trial to try to make the Democrats look like fools... or at least attempt to do that.
5. And most importantly, none of this will change anyone's minds. The people who don't like Trump will continue to not like him. The people who do like Trump will continue to like him. The people in the middle will vote a
pocketbook election... and thus Trump will most likely be re-elected.
Every time that I hear the term "Pocketbook", I know that Mister Potato Head has arrived. And the Senate does no have to do anything that it does not want to do.
They can just summarily throw out the impeachment, and call it trash.
They have that power, and the Chief Justice will be presiding over the trail, or any dismissal.
There is no normal way to conduct an impeachment trial; and Senator MocConnel can bring the hammer down, any time that he wants to.
