God, man - I just woke up this morning from a similar nightmare where I was still living with and had been kicked to the curb by my mom after she won a several million dollar inheritance.

The best advice that I can give is to look everywhere high and low so you can easily snap into any opportunities that may present themselves.

Also, (Twilight Zonishly) there's usually some form of meager rescue inches from hitting dead bottom and from that point onward it's all a broadway musical, living with the other half, complete with soot-covered face and jumping up clicking your heels while singing diddies like 'That's the rim-full of gravy on me dead rat hash.'

How do I know? I've been scraping the bottom for nearly twenty years now; living paycheck to paycheck and dreading those moments I get the boot from my current client/employer (like I did again just last week).

Aside the from the military (which usually only takes on young and healthy people) are there any government programs that provide you with menial work, wood checks and a state-home your earnings go directly towards paying rent on?

That would be the one compromise for a collective of people who fear Socialism so damn much.
