I hate getting older Chaski because although I feel I'm a failure as a 'straight and narrow' pathwalker Christian, I do find getting older makes the brain want to simplify and not distort basic truths ...
If we assume that the bible is "truth" (or at least mostly correct either metaphorically or word for word), but putting aside the OT (as it is too confusing for most people), and putting aside the teachings of Paul and his followers (which dominate the NT), but sticking with the teachings of Jesus, Jesus doesn't care if you are being a 'straight and narrow' pathwalker Christian
. I would expand, but that is a conversation for a different thread.
Yes... there is a line in a movie: the worst part about getting old is that other men stop fearing you
... or something like that.
Getting old can be annoying but doesn't really matter, except to the self... I guess that probably means it does matter.
Honestly, his lies are many as are his faults.
For me, I just can't get past the draft dodging thing.
My dad voluntarily served in the military his entire career, went to Vietnam and was on his way to Cambodia when it fell. Without beating the proverbial dead horse
... Trump dodged the draft. I personally can't get past that.
But that only "matters" to me.
