Gotta feel for the Sri Lankan tail. You have Cummings bowling at 140kph at one end and Starc getting up to 154kph at the other.

Australia have won the 2nd test by 366 runs. The Sri Lankan bowling attack were hard hit by injury in the lead up to this test.

Despite the win it's been a poor summer for Australia and CA seem completely uninterested in addressing core issues (esp scheduling of domestic and international matches).

For Sri Lanka they have had a tough tour of NZ and Australia but things are set to get a lot tougher as they next travel to take on the boks.

Back on the windies...

The West Indies had not won a Test series against a side other than Zimbabwe or Bangladesh since 2012...until now.

In a sheilas game SA was bowled out for 10 with only one player scoring any runs at all (she scored just 1 run). There were a total of 10 ducks with 9 extras (including 6 wides).

What a remarkable BBL final. Just how MS managed to lose after being 0/93 and needing just 53 off 43 balls is beyond me. One of the more dramatic implosions I have seen in a T20 match.

Rise up oh men of God!! It is time to play some cricket.

Y’all should post some YouTube videos for the uninitiated.

I’d love to see highlights (for a couple minutes) of what this game is all about.

In cricket fast bowlers typically deliver the ball at speeds somewhere btw 140kph - 155kph (though there have been some in the past who have exceeded 160 kph).

Slightly more dangerous version of baseball looks like

Maybe a little hockey tucked in.

Getting a running start on throwing the ball

150 mph ?? Woah!!

It's 150 KPH rather than mph. This still leaves a batsman facing a fast bowler with btw 0.4 and 0.45 seconds from the time the ball leaves the bowlers hand till the time it reaches the batsman. During that time the batsman has to determine the line and length of the ball as well as factor in any swing and then decide what shot (if any) to play.

Note that in cricket you are allowed to deliberately try and hit the batsman on any part of his body (including his head)

What an innings Turner is having. He is the main reason Australia have scored 0/70 off the last 5 overs.
