Oh... is that what you (Gak) were referring to - the Trump judge in Texas claiming one piece of Obamacare was unconstitutional, so the whole thing should be thrown out.

Yes.

Oddly enough the 2019 ACA enrollment period was not cancelled.

I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that all the healthcare insurance companies that have customers (including the 4 million who enrolled this Nov-Dec) via the ACA are not going to start cancelling or massively changing the policies.

And the end. Goodbye Obamacare.

At long last.

Yep, just in time for health care chaos and ensuing political nightmare for the GOP to fall in Trump’s lap prior to re-election.

Add in the Mueller investigation results and an impending economic downturn, and he’ll have a nice PR trifecta to deal with.

Good times.

On a distantly related topic...

And the end.

Goodbye Trump Wall (aka the Taco Curtain) At long last. Not much hope for the Wall now.

For lack of a recognizable party, the GOP rank and file will have to take what they can get. Reducing entitlements is everyone's duty at this point. Heck, enough of that and eventually Trump could find the money to build a wall.

One could hope if Obamacare is replaced (aka: improved) it will have increased provisions for mental health.

If mental health wellness checks were as easy to get as physical health wellness checks, I'd get one... what the hell.
Maybe I could prove these f***ers in my head wrong!

Not anymore. Any extra money DC can get their grubby hands on now has to cover up the massive debt they incurred with the giveaway they gave themselves and their lobbyists at this time last year.

Even if they did have the money for the wall, they won’t need it if they are going to gut entitlements along with Obamacare, because nobody’s going to want to come.

If we don’t want to care for our sick or elderly, not to mention gut our EPA, we are not any better than what third world countries are forced to do. Sanitation and our life expectancy with it, are going down the toilet.

No, the only walls needed will be the reinforcement of gated communities for the 1%.

It is our duty to suffer well and heal if we can. And on that day when the suffering is done let us lay our heads down for that long long nap.

That's the spirit. Don't try to fix problems, just suffer in silence. Would you like another leech?

Suffering well is a solution.

I am a father and a grandfather and my wife and I have been married since before our kids were born.

It doesn't come without cost. Occasionally family or my job stepped in to do things I couldn't. To the degree I can, I care for my family myself and do what's needed--(short of what the Constitution provides such as "the common defense." )

It would be shameful to expect some massive conglomerate to pave a way for my survival. Because I'm an adult I need to provide medical care for my family in the same way you would expect me to be toilet trained beyond the age of two.

I think it would be more shameful to allow your pride to get in the way of your family and loved one's ability to function and be healthy. If your solution to problems is to embrace the suffering they cause in silence, then that is your prerogative. At the same time though, it should be my prerogative to categorically reject that solution and look for one that actually seeks to reduce suffering, whatever form that solution takes.
