There's a girl I like and I don't know if she likes me

Hi, there's this girl I like and today she asked me out to go to the movies, I say yes and then just a bit later her and her friends approached me because she didn't know if I knew she was serious. I said I was aware and then we parted ways again. Then after a little while, her friends approached me without her and told me it was just a joke. She seemed pretty serious when she asked me so I'm not sure if she really likes me or not. Does she like me?? (I'll make a pole)

Speaking for myself in such a bizarre situation, I would assume the I had received a genuine invitation. If they really did it as some kind of cruel joke, then I will find out soon enough.

it is possible that this girl's friends are trying to mess with both of you.

However, the only way for you to really know is to confront the girl directly.

If the movie date was already set, you only have to show up to meet her for the movie (or pick her up at her place...whatever the plan was).

If she goes out with you, you know the answer; she is interested in you.

If this is a set up (a cruel joke), it will hurt... but you will know that this girl (and her friends) are not good people and do not deserve you. Then you move on and never waste time on this group of emotional bullies every again.

Ask her directly, mentioning what her friends said. Simple really.

She does not really seem like the type of person I would date. I would ask her personally if it makes you feel better, but the situation is not cool. The situation reflects poorly on the type of person she actually is.one should not feel worthless for another in a relationship. It is abusive to attempt to strip someone of their self-worth.
