France has won the right to host the 2023 RWC beating out RSA and Eire.

As an aside Paris will host the Olympics the following year.

Predictably England just too good in the end. At this point in time they and the AB's are just a class above everyone else. Meanwhile Georgia pushed Cymru all the way whilst Argentina comfortably accounted for Italy.

Shocking and completely irresponsible action by Sekope Kepu has really made a difficult task so much harder. Absolute moron.

Meanwhile a string of school boy errors have been punished by an impressive Alba. The Wallaby defence is consistent in it's disorganisation and lack of composure.

Talent wise the cupboard is a little bare and there is bugger all depth but how Michael Cheika has managed to hold onto his job is truly mystifying. Presumably it's because of his teams performance at the last world cup where they made the final. But even in that tournament the team only really played well in one match.

Alba heading for a huge and well deserved win. Maybe this is what it takes for Michael Cheika to go.

Watching the Wallabies play you can see why most Aussies who follow rugby would rather watch the Kangaroos.

What a great 6 Nations campaign for Eire. Very well deserved. Overall it was a good tournament for the Celtic trio. Cymru are rebuilding and were inconsistent as were Alba but both sides showed promise. The French were also up and down whilst Italy once again propped up the table. Meanwhile Eddie Jones' england lost their last 3 matches to finish 5th.

Last year the ARU lost more than $4 million smackers. So far super rugby attendances have once again been poor. They will be hoping that the hugely inconsistent wallabies are able to be competitive with European champions Eire.

I had the opportunity to go watch Scotland play Samoa in a friendly tail end of last year. First ever rugby match, took my 15 year old son. Was a great atmosphere, great game and of course we won, which is always good.

Hope to catch some more games this year, was sad i never had the op to catch any of the 6 nations matches live.

I feel for Samoa. They would have a pretty strong side if all players who grew up in Samoa (0-18) actually played for Samoa.

Yeah, we both had a great day out. Was chilled and relaxed, great atmosphere, in Scotland that can be tough to get for sporting events with that many people. You really don't get that sort of atmosphere going to a big football match as you are always kinda on edge that something might kick off with opposing sides. It was funny as my son couldn't believe there was no segregation and supporters from both teams freely mingled and enjoyed the game together.

I remember taking a mate from Scotland who was visiting Australia to a game of Aussie rules. He was a wee bit nervous on the train and at the station as supporters from both sides were mingled together. As we approached the G (crowd was 85,000) he became more nervous and couldnt believe it when i told him that fans werent segregated. He was very surprised that you had fans from opposing sides sitting side by side loudly and passionately abusing each others team and yet there was no hint of any possible violence etc.

The Jaguares have recorded one of the great moments in their short Super Rugby history by stunning the Chiefs 23-19 in Rotorua

Quite a weekend of rugby action. England blew a 21 pt lead against the boks to go down by 3 pts as they lost their 5th match in a row. Meanwhile a brutal All Blacks team steamrolled France in the 2nd half to win 52-11.
