I bet you will then believe in the existence of at least one of us... and strongly suspect the other also exists.

Its a test...sort of...

That is called kicking the rock. When Berkeley claimed there was nothing other than consciousness a guy (I believe his name was Johnson) kicked a rock and saying I refute it thus. This is considered a logical fallacy because the only thing that is proven is that there is experience.

There is the experiencer
There is that which is experieced
There is the process of experiencing.

Those I accept as certainties.

that which I experience is a virtual reality that my mind created. I accept that as a certainty too.

As for whether or not you exist independent of my mind I cannot claim any certainty. Even if you do exist independent of experience that which consciousness experiences (both you and your hammer) is still a virtual reality created by my mind.

This is admittedly a poor example but a person who has lost a leg may still feel pain in a toe even though there is no toe to feel. Nope, that is not a good analogy but it is the best I can come up with at the moment.

Mind is a CPU

There is input of data from the senses and from memory

The computer screen is the virtual reality that is experienced by consciousness.

Consciousness created the mind (computer) and the computer creates a reality for consciousness to experience.

There is the hard drive = DNA

There is software = programming by society.

Consciousness (in this proposition) is eternal

It might be more accurate to say that there is no time. Of course change posits before and after. Hmmm I will have to think on that one.

This is a work in progress and subject to change and even abandonment

There is only potential.

In order to exist in my reality I need consciousness. Without consciousness nothing exists.

If I am not conscious
Then I am not aware of any existence.
