The bill passed in the House in a 224 to 201 vote. Early Wednesday morning, the Senate approved the massive tax reform bill with a 51 to 48 vote. (Its probably a given the POTUS will sign it.)

From FoxNews a light assessment of the bill: Tax Bill

It looks to me like it doesn't do a lot for the average guy, but does seem to help the wealthy. Trickle Down Economics didn't really work when Reagan tried it. Maybe it will work this time....we can hope.

My choice would be to scrap the tax code entirely and replace it with a federal sales tax (supported by a cap on congressional spending based on annual federal income). That way everyone pays taxes, and if someone doesn't want to pay taxes...don't buy stuff. ( <<<<< way over simplified). But, not surprisingly, no one asked me.

And Trump called it the death of Obamacare.

Trickle-down: You mean the Companies and CEOs that will be raking in higher and higher record earnings/savings won't be passing that along to the lowly workers this time either??

Here comes another (a few more) record high(s) for stocks.

But it won't be the death of Obamacare. It will just shift the ACA, in part, back where the Democrats and Liberals wanted it in the 1st place.

(It kind of feed the rumor in 2016 that Trump was a Democrat plant... )

But it has a nice ring to it for some - even if it's not true.

Still in need of an actual budget. At this writing 38 hours before the continuing resolution expires

It will take some time long after Trump is gone to get a real feel for how good he was.

Listening to people talk about Trump is like reading reviews for the latest Star Wars movie on Rotten Tomatoes.

It's all a big act. They're just running around to try and make us think there's another "Looming Threat" that congress (GOPers) will save us from.

The simplest, and most often used is to kick the can down the street for a few more weeks - that's how we got here today.

Maybe they'll drop in another poison pill.
