So far, I've been able to piece together a picture. Kelly got thrown backwards against a series of electrical switches. One of his sleeves gets caught in one them and becuase it is wet, it electrocutes his arm.

Now, George uses the mop to push Kelly's foot backward into a junction box, which overloads and discharges into his body, using his foot and his caught arm as conduits to electrocute him.

How am I doing so far?

doing fine. of course, george use the broom, because it was wood. non-conductive to electric.

of course, kelly never use clean electric switches or board. so george use kelly's body to clean it.

You need two points of connection to be able to complete a given circuit. Most of the s*** you see in movies isn't electrically accurate.

most of the scene, that more plastic materials around the panel. the switches weren't connect to anything.

most of movie productions usually make a good job make a prop, that either keep or throw away, after they shoot a scene.

I haven't seen the movie. However, I would expect that if you were wet all over and thrown into an electrical pannel something bad would happen. I have witnesses some mighty flashes in pannel boxes when I made a mistake. Most panels can deliver hundreds of units (amps) of current. Only one unit is needed to kill you. So hollywierd may not have it right all the time, this is close enough for me.
