I'll be getting my pap smeared for the first time next week, and it's one of those things where I know it's not a big deal but for some reason I can't help feeling anxious about it. All these thoughts keep racing through my mind like "what if there's something wrong?" or "what if I accidentally shoot pee in the obgyn's face?" or "what if a small alien crawls out of me and eats everyone and I end up having to secretly raise a small killer alien?".
Ok, maybe not the last one.
Back to being serious.
Did any of you ladies on TFS feel anxious about having your pap smeared? How did yours go? Anything you wish you'd known before going in for the first time?
