Typically the weather where I live during the winter is cold, very cold.

But how much snow do I get here in southern Maine?

Every year it's different. Some years, like in 2015, we get hammered with snow. But then other years, like last year, we don't get much snow.

Then their are other years in which we'll get very little snow during the first part of the winter, only to get slammed with several feet of snow in the later part of the winter.

Very wet today... not a day you'd want to be out and about in.

If you widen the time frame, we get just about everything.
There have been years in a row we'd have big blows of snow before thanksgiving, then some years we'd see 40-60 degree weather around Christmas.

If you narrowed your scope enough, you could cry "What global warming?!?" or "See!! Global Warming!!" any particular week of the season.

We had single digit temps yesterday morning, but we'll be mid-40s and rain tomorrow.

Since we do sometimes get a lot of snow here in Maine, we're equipped and ready for it, unlike a lot of areas in the U.S. where getting a foot of snow is like the end of the world to them.

I am from Saskatchewan. With wind chill at this time of year it can easily get below -40C. Even without I have seen sub -40C lots in my life.

Beautiful lately though.
