One Square Inch

So I stepped outside my suburban back door this evening to observe the weather.
It was a hot humid day, and thunderstorms were burbling up here and there across the area.

But with the setting sun on the broken clouds, revealing some aqua-blue skies, and the humidity heavy in the air, I listened.

No thunder, but there were a few common cicadas (on the 17 year), some crickets, and maybe a frog, and
my goddamn air conditioning unit ....

And it reminded me of something I heard about awhile back ....

I love the idea of saving our forests and stopping noise pollution. I enjoy being out in the woods and on nature trails but, most of the time you can still hear traffic or some other noise that isn't natural
