"I just joined this site a few minutes ago and tried to share a picture of my cat, but the post got deleted and I was labelled a troll. What did I do wrong?"
All too often, new members who've joined TFS find themselves labelled as trolls for linking images and posting links to other sites. The reason this is the case is to limit the amount of spambots who join the site solely to try and scam people/distribute harmful software or viruses. Not only is it a safety precaution to anyone who might be foolish enough to click them, but it also helps make the mods lives easier because they can then focus on actual matters on the site.
Does that mean you'll never be able to post that picture of your darling cat, or a link to a funny Youtube video? Of course not. It just means that for the first few posts (unsure of the exact number of points/posts you need. Maybe a mod will edit between the brackets with the actual number), you'll just have to settle for posting text for a while. After that period of time, you can freely link and post whatever you wish, as long as it's within the Terms of Service
So I hope I answered your question involving you being labelled as a troll. And feel free to PM one of our lovely mods, like @DiscordTiger
and I'm sure they'll take care of your mislabelling as a troll. Thank you, and enjoy TFS.
