Mostly, growing up the USA wasn't really a powerhouse in the game. So while I liked them and wanted them to win, I chose teams wouldn't lose right away. So I picked England and West Germany. England, probably because I knew the players better and W. Germany because I am German.

I don't really understand the logic of 10 yr old Floydie.

Now, I usually like/dislike teams because of certain players. I'm more of a player watcher instead of a particular team supporter.
