I like seeing and hearing thunderstorms where I live in Maine.

However, I probably wouldn't enjoy thunderstorms as much if I lived in the Mid-West of the U.S. The reason is because when a thunderstorm comes along, you never know if it's going to turn into a full-blown tornado.

Here in Maine, I don't worry about tornadoes when the weather gets unsettled because tornadoes are rare in the Pine Tree State.
