Hello!
If you're reading this then perhaps the idea of a pizza made of strawberries is intriguing.
Essentially, it is a giant cookie.
Well, not essentially, I mean it is a giant cookie.
This dessert is always a good hit with the family and friends on any holiday!
What you will need:
Forgive me as I don't cook by measurements but by flavor and proportion!
2 bags of sugar cookie dough mix
1 tub of strawberry nectar (any strawberry flavoring is good, the exception being jam.)
1 box of fresh strawberries
1 box of any other fruits you may want to slice up and add.
1 tub of cool whip
1 box of cream cheese
2 cups of sugar
So, imagine if you will a pizza.
You have the dough, sauce, cheese and toppings.
o The cookie will be the dough.
o The mixture of the cool whip, strawberry nectar, cream cheese and sugar will be the sauce.
o The strawberries and other fruit will be the toppings.
With that said, let's begin.
Start by preparing the oven, preheating it to whichever temperature is recommend on the cookie baking instructions.
Prepare the dough.
Combine both bags, or however much is necessary to make the preferred size of pizza.
Place the preparation in the oven for recommended amount of time.
Secondly, you will want to prepare the "sauce" and "toppings" while the dough bakes.
Combine the cream cheese, whip cream, sugar and nectar to the proportion you will need to cover the pizza with whichever desired thickness.
The proportion ratio should be:
1:2:3:4
sugar:nectar:cream cheese:cool whip
o Sugar is just to add a little sweetness and not to overthrow the natural sweetness of the dish.
o Nectar is just to flavor the cream cheese and cool whip.
o Cream cheese gives it the thick and rich texture.
o Cool whip makes the entire combo a creamy, luscious "sauce".
o You should have twice as much cool whip than you have nectar.
Following the ratio will keep the taste in balance.
When the dough is all done, let it cool down or even put it in the fridge.
For the cookie baking, I recommend taking it out a little after it starts getting golden, so it will be heavenly soft even when it's cold.
Once it has cooled down, go ahead and spread the "sauce" and place your toppings.
Don't be afraid to be a little creative and create scenery, patterns, symbols and words with the toppings!
I hope you enjoy this if you do make it, happy occasions to you and your family!
