Looking good for Labour so far and awful for the coalition parties so far.

Hearing rumours though that Labour have done fairly catastrophically in Scotland, possibly even lost Glasgow somehow to the Nats.

And what about the French elections this Sunday in France. Fear the right. But the right think crime pays. Huh; the left is my bet.

Yes, the usual mid term protest vote against the government.

No surprises. Nothing new. Business as usual.

I'm pretty outraged at the turn out (I always am). It's not too much trouble to go to a polling station and pop a piece of paper in a box!

Labour actually done quite well in Scotland, second largest party and have an increased share of the vote and number of counsellors, currently got the largest increase in Scotland.

SNP have had a slight rise, enough to keep them the largest party but not a huge swing towards them.

Coalition parties have done pretty badly all told. Labour need to do everything to attract disaffected Lib Dems.

In Scotland the Tories have actually over taken the Lib Dems to become the third party in Scottish politics. That's unreal, shows how let down Scottish Lib Dems feel about them propping up a right wing party.

Looks like the Lib Dem vote has split fairly evenly between the Nats and Labour. Hopefully Labour can keep this up. Good result for Labour, fightback has started.

Alex Salmond looks disappointed, it's difficult really to believe him when he claims they have won the election.
