I read somewhere that the whole 'accidental' fuel crisis was a last ditch attempt by the government to stop us going back into recession. Not sure how true that is but if so it's actually quite clever. Shame it wasn't enough.
Bit worried about it all at the moment though, both my parents' jobs have been affected by redundancies and cutbacks due to the recession. Hope it doesn't get much worse.
The concern I have is the government seem to want to create a large private sector to replace the public sector and are using the economy as an excuse to do this, but if anything it is making things worse.
