I've never been that knowledgeable about him, why do people not like him?

I read something about Saddam and then of course there's the Big Brother thing, but some people seem to dislike him massively and I've never really known why.

He's massively anti-semitic, he's opposed to Abortion, Euthanasia, alcohol and anything which resembles liberal democracy. He believes that the UK should be ruled on religious, rather than democratic, principles. He excels in dirty politics.

I don't think he's that unpopular down south but in Scotland he's been hated for years.

Here is the genuine letter he sent to Muslim voters in Bradford West before the election:

He's essentially tried whipping up racial tensions and tried to act like he is more Muslim than a Muslim candidate who happened to be running.

I understand why people want to protest the establishment parties, but voting for George Galloway is a step too far imo.

Also, judging by the figures it's apparently been worked out that some people who voted Tory in 2010 would have had to have voted Respect yesterday, which seems crazy. I've heard, though have nothing more than anecdotal evidence to support it, that young Muslims have convinced their Tory parents to vote Respect as they believe Respect to be the 'Muslim' party.

Sectarianism in action imo.

He must have fixed it, who on earth would have voted for him? I certainly wouldn't put it past him...

Respect and George Galloway seem to be really popular amongst Muslims for some reason and as Bradford West has a high proportion of Muslim voters it seems likely he was able to tap into that vote quite well.

That along with a feeling of disenfranchisement at living in a major seat and the fact that establishment parties tend to lose votes in by-elections made it easier for him.

I don't think many rational people voted for him though, I'm assuming a lot of people voted emotionally rather than rationally on this one.
