We're teaching kids how to pass a test to ensure the schools have funding. We sure as hell aren't teaching them how to think and learn.

No child left behind is a travesty from the get go and needs to go away.

It was a 'feel good' act that meant and means nothing beneficial for the students.

Yep yep yep, we need to move away from these stupid standardized test. The only ones that should matter are SAT, ACT, GMAT, GRE.

Apart from that, schools need flexibility to develop their curriculum and TEACH instead of teaching according to the test.

Yeah, I'm with Lucky Charms on this one. There were to many performance tests that too much time from actual learning when I was in school, and it ten times worse now.

They've been finding too, that all of these feel good every child is equal to one another is causing more self esteem issues too. I mean really, think about it, you know your better at this than everyone else, but your achievement can't be rewarded or recognized without everyone else recognized for lesser performance with the same thing. And, bullying is getting worse too.

To hell all with standardized testing, and this no child left behind s***!

Actually it has done just as much damage for the overacheivers as well, having to sit and endure while teachers focus all their time on bringing the remedial students up to speed to save their school's test scores.

A few words here. What happened to the shops we had while we were in middle and high school? The trades are now BAAD! The students who use their hands and keep our industry are no longer needed?
