IN THE BEGINNING - LAW
We follow the LAW! We obey the LAW! We recognize the
need for the LAW! We respect most of the laws! But we don't
know the LAW! And, if we did inadvertently break the LAW, it
would probably be a LAW which we knew nothing about. AND we
are expected to always obey the LAW!!!. IS THAT ALL THERE IS?
For the past 40 years we have been sold a bill of goods.
TO OBEY THE LAW! But what if there is no law to cover a
particular type of crime? One which WE all know is a crime
against our society-- our people-- our country? Is it a crime
punishable in our (type) court? Or is it one which our court
says "We cannot accept it because no LAW has been broken".
Today, and in the past 30 years (less visible before that
some due to poor communications), crimes are being committed
and no LAW has or will be written to prevent their
reoccurrence. Maybe we should ask why?
In the beginning there were no LAWS! And man did what he
could to protect himself and his family. But his family grew
and others joined his family by marriage, for protection
against others or as partners in protecting their joint
ventures. For in numbers, there is strength. But in numbers
there is also controversy, differences of opinion, and envy.
So internal problems had to be settled. This became the
responsibility of the elders whose decisions, when the
parties came to settle a dispute, became LAW. These LAWS
became CASE LAWS because the court, ELDERS, not
the people, said so. These were LAWS to aJUST disputes.
But families and neighbors grew in numbers and spread
out to form cities and nations. The elders in the families
could no longer settle the local problems. A centrally
located citizens group , elected, appointed, or picked by
other means, wrote directives on how the populace was to
behave. These were called LAWS. And many of these LAWS were
not written to protect the family. Or even the neighborhood!
As more of these LAWS were written, and less importance
placed on the aJUST LAWS, the less protection the family and
neighborhood received.
In time, as civilizations evolved-- each believed it had
reached the ultimate of a civilized society. And not one of
the policy making group knew that it had reached the bottom
of the barrel in crime, corruption, and depravity... Because
it failed to maintain a healthy family unit.
Where has each civilization failed? It cannot write a
LAW to fit a specific crime. And simple crime corrupted past
civilizations when no one questioned the authority of LAWS
based on PACS, not JUSTICE.
The leadership of our country has failed us! And ALL of
you know who is responsible.
